Once we establish that your armoire can be modified, we send measurements to get pricing from our suppliers. The best pricing comes from offshore manufacturers. We order granite or marble by the block and we are happy to provide sample tops for hotels at an additional cost, however, purchasing the entire block means we cannot pick and choose individual slabs. The quality and color is good but will vary because stone is a natural product. The stone is cut into sheets and then into the dimensions and specifications (size and edging) for your property.

Blocks quarried in China are your best value, however somewhat limited in color. These are highlighted on our web site with a plus (+) sign. The most popular colors such as absolute black and black galaxy come from India. The deep black is a result of high carbon content. This hard or dense stone is durable but much more difficult to cut and polish adding to cost. Other popular colors come from Brazil add to the shipping cost. We can work with your individual design needs and will bid each property individually. Once you make your selection, we provide you with pricing. The price is based on surface cost, number of cuts per armoire and labor. For the best pricing the hotel is asked to make available 50 rooms per day on one or two floors. In the event the hotel cannot allocate that amount, the price is adjusted.

Contract and Payment Information :

We require a deposit for all jobs, one-third of the project price to order the stone. Once the stone arrives on property and is accounted for, the balance for the stone must be paid and therefore the second payment of one-third is due. Final payment is due upon project completion.

Once your deposit is paid and we have placed your order, it takes approximately 8 weeks for the granite to arrive at the property. Some Flexibility is needed for customs or Department of Agriculture delays.

On The Job Needs:

Conversion teams consist of six men. We ask the hotel to supply two or three guest rooms, employee meals, internet access and parking.

Our teams start the day by staging stone outside the rooms and prepping rooms. Prepping the rooms consist of removing hardware, doors and televisions. Cutting starts around 9:00am. The tops are then set and sealed. The cut armoire tops are taken to your dumpster. Rooms are ready for a new television in about 30 minutes, after the sealer is dried and polished. The room is now ready for the guest. We recommend having a construction type dumpster ordered from your trash supplier. The levels are monitored and the hotel is notified when it should be picked up.

Daily Reporting:

Our supervisor completes a daily production report that show the rooms completed on each floor. This report is turned in each afternoon to keep the hotel advised of the completed rooms. Any rooms not completed, due to guest needs, should be reviewed daily and rescheduled as soon as possible. We reserve the last day to pick up any remaining rooms.
